Your users sign in once in your system and are inside medplattform without a second password. Three options, depending on your IT landscape.
Token SSO from your own portal
You run your own intranet, learning portal or school administration? Then a single “Go to medplattform” link is enough: your server issues a short-lived signed ticket, we create the account automatically, assign the team zone and unlock the licence. No SAML, no certificates, no user sync.
- 1You receive the endpoint and a shared secret from us.
- 2Your server signs a token with first name, last name, e-mail and department.
- 3The browser is redirected to medplattform – already signed in.
- 4Departments become team zones, knowledge bundles are preset per team zone.
SAML 2.0 / Shibboleth
For universities and providers with a central identity provider (e.g. DFN-AAI, ADFS, Entra ID). Sign-in via your existing IdP, attributes control role and team zone.

Teachers can select relevant content, create their own learning paths, build quizzes, provide files and share specific topics with classes or groups.
medplattform can support classroom teaching, preparation and revision or complete self study phases. Learners can access the content provided to them at any time and continue learning at their own pace.
Can teachers track the learning progress of students and participants?
Yes. Teachers and administrators can keep track of which content and learning paths have already been completed and how individual learners or groups are progressing.
This makes it easy to see where a class is doing well and where additional support may still be needed.
Does medplattform also offer live remote teaching for schools?
Yes. In addition to the platform, we regularly offer live remote teaching for schools and educational institutions.
Our lecturers teach selected topics live and online. medplattform can be integrated directly into the lessons so that content, learning materials and additional tasks remain available afterwards.

How are students, employees and other users managed?
It is simple. Users can be added individually or imported in larger groups and then assigned to classes, courses, wards, departments or other groups.
This keeps even larger institutions organised. If required, users can also sign in through your institution's existing Single Sign on system.
Can medplattform be integrated with Moodle, ILIAS or another LMS?
Yes. medplattform can be integrated into existing learning management systems such as Moodle or ILIAS using LTI 1.1 and LTI 1.3.
This allows users to open medplattform content directly from the learning environment they already use. Your institution's logo can also be integrated for a more individual appearance.
How much does medplattform cost for schools and educational institutions?
That depends on how you want to use medplattform and how many people need access.

How secure is our data on medplattform?
Data protection is a fundamental part of medplattform.
The platform is hosted in Germany and operated in compliance with the GDPR. Only the data required to use the platform is processed.
A data processing agreement can also be provided for institutions.
How quickly can our institution get started with medplattform?
Usually faster than you might think.
After discussing your requirements, we set up your institution, create the required areas and can import your users if needed. After that, you are ready to go. The setup usually takes around two weeks.
We also support you during the onboarding process and show the responsible team members how to use medplattform effectively in everyday practice. This takes place shortly before or after your launch.
